Hon. Dr. Clark,

M..0. 8.

Sir,

612

I beg to ask your advice and assistance

in the following matter:-

Do you think that the Sanitary Board.would grant 'the use of the back-room at the Hollywood Road Office to establish a reading room for the Staff, to be used sey from 6 to 10 P.M.

I would at once lend some books, and no

doubt others would also.

One large table and some shelving would be sufficient to get the small scheme started. I feel certain that the staff would appreciate it, and that much good work .can be done.

Secretary,

(£d.) A.C.

This involves an expenditure for lighting

and therefore requires the sanction of the Government. If the Board and the Government approve it might be tried for three months and if not availed of, the scheme could be dropped.

The President,

The Secretary,

Please circulate.
